The NEST is a domestic competition in China featuring eight top teams from the region. One of the teams competing in the event was directly invited and that team is Team WE which placed 7th to 8th in the 2019 LPL Spring.

While Team WE were directly invited to the tournament, the remaining seven seeds will be decided through a closed qualifier that will take place Online. The qualifier is seven series with the winner of each series being invited to the main event.

As for the main event, it will take place in Guiyang and will have the teams competing for the lions share of the total prize pool of ¥670,000 CNY which is roughly $100,000 USD.
