March 2024's masterful Pokémon TCG Decks: a collector's guide

Giratina VSTAR

This deck has shown itself from the best side, winning numerous tournaments. Just in the last few months, Giratina VSTAR has taken 8 prize places, which speaks to its effectiveness better than anything else. 

For beginners, this deck may seem awkward, as it can noticeably fall behind the opponent's deck at the beginning of the game. Do not give up on Giratina VSTAR, as this is where the tactic lies. You need to close the Lost Zone, using Comfey and Colress's Experiment cards. This is necessary to open Mirage Gate and strengthen the Giratina VSTAR card to deal colossal damage.

Also, remember that by the end of the match, you can use the Roxanne card, which can significantly spoil the game for your opponent. In combination with the Path to the Peak card, you can altogether disable Rule Box Pokémon, which are widely present in other decks.

Gardevoir ex

This deck is very effective and convenient thanks to Kirlia's Refinement ability and Gardevoir CRE's Shining Arcana ability. In terms of capabilities, it is not inferior to Giratina VSTAR, as here you can play a lot of cards and, accordingly, get many resources. The deck plays from powerful knockouts and psychic damage. Psychic abilities can be greatly enhanced with the Moonlit Hill card.

Snorlax Stall

A fairly popular deck, whose tactic lies in disarming the best Pokémon of the opponent. This is achieved through the ability of the Snorlax card. The deck has several variations. At a tournament in Dortmund, a deck with the Pidgeot ex card, which provides cards for each turn, was used. You can also use the Rotom V card to replenish cards. Having fire energy cards also plays to the deck's advantage.

Charizard ex

A powerful deck that can stand up to the more popular Giratina VSTAR. Overall, Charizard ex can be an excellent first deck for beginner players, as the deck is designed for dealing massive damage. Yes, there are no tricky tactics here, and this will help with getting acquainted. 

A strong point of the deck will be the Pidgeot ex card, which allows you to choose cards each turn or enhance commands. For example, the Burning Darkness attack will allow your damage to grow in geometric progression!

Mew VMAX

The gameplay strategy of the Mew VMAX deck remains unchanged — it is aggressive gameplay using Fusion Strike from the Genesect V card. The deck allows for finding the necessary solutions during the game itself, picking up the required orders. A strong point here would be a full set of 4 Cram-o-Matic for a Lost City. Thanks to Fusion Energy, this deck will be a strong competitor against Giratina VSTAR.

Chien-Pao ex

Another deck with a rather simple and straightforward tactic. The foundation is the Chien-Pao card and its Shivery Chill ability, which takes water energy from the board. Once there is enough, we use the Super Cold ability for the Baxcalibur card. Next, we use attacking cards. For example, Radiant Greninja can attack several of the opponent's Pokémon at once. To deal colossal damage, gather several prize cards and use Chien-Pao's Hail Blade.

Roaring Moon ex

The most aggressive deck on our list. However, it cannot be called the best — Roaring Moon ex is just a good working deck that will suit those who like active gameplay with dealing high damage. It was once the most popular, but now it gives way to meta builds. The basis of the game will be the Direflame Wings ability for the Galarian Moltres V card. After that, use the Energy Switch card.

As we see, in March 2024, there are a total of 7 cool Pokémon TCG decks. You should not stop at the most popular Giratina VSTAR. Here, there are other equally interesting decks that can surprise your opponent.
