Shooters are one of the most popular genres in video games. They focus on speed and the dynamics of the action. But players love them for the constantly tense combat atmosphere, exciting shootouts, and the chance to defeat their opponents.

We've gathered all the most interesting shooters on Android in one place. The list includes both common options known to many and unique arcades where your enemies are not human. Enjoy reading and have a great time playing.

Disclamer: we didn't rank the games from best to worst, we just listed the worthy projects in our opinion.

Standoff 2

Let's start our list of Android shooters with the decent action-shooter Standoff 2. It offers a variety of maps, weapons, game modes, and a battle pass — players will definitely not be bored.

The game's main concept is similar to CS: you choose between terrorists or special forces and fight against the other team. Yes, this plot might be overdone, but Standoff 2 is one of the best Counter-Strike clones for phones.

Critical Ops

Next up is another CS clone, Critical Ops. The concept is exactly the same, but that doesn’t make the game any worse. What else do you need for a regular shooter? It definitely deserves attention.

Plus, it's not overloaded with in-app purchases, and there's a wide selection of weapons.

World War Heroes

In World War Heroes, the developers finally stop trying to copy famous PC games. This shooter is set during World War II, so players can expect real historical locations, old weapons, and vehicles.

This is what sets the game apart from others, and it definitely succeeds in that. It's the only historical shooter in this ranking.

Modern Strike

Modern Strike is a great option for CS fans. The developers have added several game modes, many maps, and 25 different types of weapons.

But that's not all: users can create their own games with their own rules. The game's graphics and dynamics are at a commendable level.

DOOM 2

Doom II hardly needs an introduction. Grab a gun and head straight into hell to blast demons left and right.

The mobile version includes not only the main game content but also 20 additional levels created by players. It also offers local multiplayer and 4-player co-op.

Into the Dead 2

Into the Dead 2 continues the legacy of the first part, focusing on the storyline. It features many comfortable levels, a variety of different tasks, as well as ammunition and weapons. Players have the opportunity to upgrade their combat arsenal.

JYDGE

In the uniquely named game JYDGE, developers offer a choice. Some may prefer smashing enemies with a battle cry, while others choose to stay in the shadows. Choose your style and dive into a fun, yet intense action.

The project is often compared to Neon Chrome, but JYDGE is somewhat more casual and much more brutal.

Call of Duty Mobile

Next, we have one of the best mobile shooters — Call of Duty Mobile. The game incorporates all the good elements from other parts of the series. It features colorful, well-designed locations, a plethora of weapons, and even decent character models.

Not to mention the quite pleasant controls and cool graphics. The quality of the project is comparable to many console games. Definitely recommended.

Morphite

Morphite is a unique project in its own right. Developers position it more as a Metroidvania than a shooter. Locations are uniquely generated.

The storyline leads the player through a picturesque world consisting of multiple planets. Special attention should be paid to the atmosphere and weather conditions in the locations, which are also generated randomly, constantly changing the environment.

PUBG Mobile

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds became a major hit on PC and consoles, so porting it to mobile devices was only a matter of time. The action in the game mirrors the main series, taking place on an island. Here, on this small piece of land, you'll encounter numerous other players.

Defend your life, eliminate opponents, gather resources, and strive for the center of the map. Everything is like the PC version, just a bit smaller.

Infinity Ops: Cyberpunk FPS

Infinity Ops' main unique feature is low gravity and the presence of jetpacks. Such elements are rare in shooters. This unusual feature doesn’t just complicate gameplay but actually makes it more dynamic.

The only downside might be the control. Shooting on mobile devices is not particularly convenient to begin with. Now try flying and shooting at the same time.

AWP Mode: Online Sniper Action

Once again in our ranking is a game that stands out among standard shooters. AWP Mode primarily focuses not on ordinary shootouts but on battles with sniper rifles. The entire game consists of PvE and PvP campaigns, where your goal is to hit the enemy.

Interestingly, the maps in the game are specifically generated for long-range combat. Teams appear as far apart as possible from each other, and shelters allow hiding, but only for a short time.

Tacticool

In the shooter genre, it's quite challenging to come up with something new and unique. Some developers radically change gameplay and locations, while others just add a couple of unusual elements. Tacticool went the latter route, adding the ability to control vehicles

Besides that, the shooter is pretty standard. Battles 5 vs 5, a huge amount of weapons, and decent controls.

Hitman Sniper

Once again a shooter with sniper rifles, but what a game! Hitman Sniper is one of the games in the series about the bald agent and assassin Hitman. This character hardly needs an introduction, as you've likely seen games about him at least once.

The concept is quite simple: take cover and eliminate targets. The gameplay revolves around accuracy and how well you study the surroundings. To win, it’s enough to make one very good shot.

Return To Planet X

  • Price:

Return To Planet X is a very pleasant single-player first-person shooter. Your enemies are not terrorists or secret agents. In this unique game, you'll face hordes of alien bugs in the corridors of a military base.

The developers were clearly inspired by Doom, Half-Life, or the cult Starship Troopers.

The only downside to the project is its price. Most apps on the list are free, but not Return To Planet X. It comes with a hefty price tag by mobile game standards.
