FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco Games have released the story trailer for Shadow of the Erdtree, the massive expansion for Elden Ring. We're exactly one month away from its release, as people will be able to play on PC and both latest generations of Xbox and PlayStation.

The action of Shadow of the Erdtree will take place in the Shadowlands, where players will follow in the footsteps of Miquella the Unalloyed. Throughout their journey, players will get to know Queen Marika closer and discover why Miquella went in search of her. The developers promised a story full of drama and intrigue that will leave no one indifferent.

FromSoftware's head, Hidetaka Miyazaki, described Shadow of the Erdtree as the studio's largest expansion ever. It will feature more than ten bosses, 8 new weapon categories, and numerous types of equipment. The expansion's locations will be slightly larger than the Lands Between.

The first and only expansion to the game will have multiple endings, and it will be players will and actions that will carry them to one root or the other. However, Miyazaki assured that the DLC will not be the last page in the long book of the franchise, hinting at the possibility of a sequel in the future.
