20-year-old Edward Kang from the USA traveled to another state to find and assault an acquaintance gamer he interacted with in the MMORPG ArcheAge. The incident was reported by representatives of the Nassau County Sheriff's Department.

Kang had a dispute with one of his acquaintances during a game of ArcheAge and decided to take revenge. It is unknown how he was able to find out the address of the victim, who had not shared this information with him.

Kang bought plane tickets and traveled from Newark to Jacksonville, which is almost 1,500 kilometers away. He stayed at a hotel, bought a hammer from a store, and took a taxi to the victim's house at night. The door to the house was open, so Kang entered and encountered his sleepy acquaintance coming out of the bedroom. He attacked the victim with his freshly bought tool, but, luckily, did not inflict any life-threatening injuries. The noise alerted the victim's stepfather, who was able to detain Kang until the arrival of the police.

This is not the first case when conflict in the game turns into the violence in real life, but it still very hard to understand it.
