How to make ale in Manor Lords

Prepare your tankards, today we'll talk about ale! As in most projects, here, "liquid gold" plays a very important role in the happiness of settlers. People can be understood, as they struggle for survival every day in the harsh medieval era! Their only solace is a cozy pub where they can relax and discuss the generous lord.

All this is no joke. This drink is indeed necessary for the development of the settlement. As soon as you upgrade a house to level 2, people will start demanding this resource and be able to produce it.

How to make ale in Manor Lords?

Once again, we're facing a production chain, so let's start with the basics — a field and a Farmhouse. The field should be placed on fertile soil, and nearby, build a structure where farmers will work.

The field will "rest" for a while. Then the player needs to choose the barley to plant.

Excellent! The residents are already banging their tankards on the table and demanding ale, but if you brew it from barley, everyone around will get poisoned. We don't want that, so it's time to turn this resource into malt. For this, you'll need a Malthouse. The construction is found in the "Production" tab.

Malt is ready, but where's the river of ale?! Don't rush, we're almost there. The drink needs to be brewed, and a family living in a level 2 house will do it. If the settlement has clothing, food, fuel, faith, any house can be upgraded. Let's do it! Now in the workshop, select Brewery Extension.

All that's left is to build a tavern. It's necessary for all level 2 citizens. Now your subjects will be happy and ready to work!

Another way to get ale

Not every region has fertile soil. This seems unfair to us: they could have made at least a small patch of fertile land! In any case, ale can be obtained in another way, for example, by buying it.

It's an expensive commodity, but indispensable. However, you can buy not the beer itself, but the resources for it. Acquire barley or malt, and then produce the drink yourself!
