Last night, previews from journalists eagerly awaited the second Dogma emerged. The Japanese corporation had previously stated that the project would release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S in March. The title received heaps of praise for its gameplay, graphics, and atmosphere. Journalists note that Dragon’s Dogma 2 doesn't feel like a sequel, but rather the perfect version of the first part that we deserved.

😢The Catch: However, not everything is as rosy as it seems. According to journalists from IGN, during a pre-test of Dragon’s Dogma 2 on PS5, the average FPS was 31 frames per second at 4K resolution, with dips to 24 frames when the player used magic in combat. Likely, the developer has yet to optimize the game for the next-gen console properly. The fan community was particularly outraged by the lack of FPS lock. Fans fear that Capcom may not manage to refine the game before its release in mid-March.

According to testers, the NPC artificial intelligence is impressive, creating the feeling of playing with friends. Developers had previously mentioned drawing inspiration from the open world and NPCs of GTA V. They also highlighted unique approaches to gameplay, similar to Baldur’s Gate 3, where some bosses can be outsmarted and defeated with "legal cheats". For example, dropping a massive boulder from above and watching the enemy's XP bar decrease from the sidelines.
