The game will be a continuation of the Pokémon Legends subseries. It is worth mentioning that the first game in this series was released in 2022. Z-A will move the action to the future and will be set in a futuristic city.

In addition to the announcement, a trailer was also released. It shows that humans and Pokémon coexist in the same space, however, no gameplay details were shown in the clip.

The game's action will take place in the Lumiose City region, one of the most iconic and exciting locations from Pokémon X and Y. The Pokémon Legends Z-A trailer discusses the Lumiose City reconstruction project, in which Pikachu intends to explore the city streets while humans and Pokémon live together peacefully.

The release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A is scheduled for 2025, but the exact date is unknown. The game is expected to be released on the Switch and a new Nintendo console, which has not been officially announced at the time of this publication.
