The modding community of The Witcher 3 is eagerly waiting, as there are less than two weeks left before The Witcher 3 REDkit is released on May 21. It will be available not only on GOG but on Steam and Epic Games Store as well.

The Witcher 3 REDkit is a tool that is nearly identical to what developers used during the development of the title.

This editor will allow modding communities to more conveniently create mods capable of completely changing the game. Modders will be able to implement new quests, experiment with locations, introduce new characters, and play around with different visuals. The possibilities are endless.

In April, CD Projekt RED conducted testing of the editor, and now it is almost ready for release. The great news is that if you own the game, you won't have to pay additional fees to try this tool.

This might be a ground-breaking experiment, as modders rarely get their hands on the same instruments that original developers have. If there is a content boom in the near future, maybe other companies will follow the example.
