Today, the first trailer for "Joker: Folie à Deux" starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga was released. It showed the beginning of the romance between Arthur and Harley Quinn. The world premiere is October 4. At the time of this writing, the trailer has been viewed nearly 5 million times in 10 hours.

The story continues the tale of Arthur Fleck, a failed 1980s stand-up comedian who, due to a series of circumstances, became a symbol of protest in Gotham. In the sequel, he will find himself in Arkham Asylum, where he will meet Harley Quinn, played by actress and singer Lady Gaga.

The original title of the film, Folie à deux, refers to a condition that is called induced delusional disorder in medical practice. This condition can affect two or more people who are in close relationships and share the same false beliefs. This type of psychosis can manifest, for example, within a family. At the same time, a person who has fallen under false beliefs can free themselves from them if they stop contacting the patient who had the primary disorder. Presumably, this is about Harley Quinn, who has fallen under the influence of Arthur Fleck.

Lady Gaga Joker Folie a DeuxImage: Ensiplay"Folie à Deux" will repeatedly mirror the first part, showing the formation of Harley Quinn, following in the footsteps of Arthur Fleck. But the discrepancies with the comics are already noticeable from the video: the girl, it seems, will not be a doctor who has fallen under the influence of a psychopath, but will appear as the same patient as he is. They will meet within the walls of the asylum and attempt to escape.

An interesting episode is the Joker's pursuit of Arthur Fleck. The character of Joaquin Phoenix is pursued by two people, and one of them is wearing the same costume that Fleck wore when he visited Murray Franklin in the first film.

Ensiplay"Folie à Deux" will not be part of the new DC cinematic universe being created by James Gunn and Peter Safran, but will exist separately within the DC Elseworlds line. Similarly, a sequel to "The Batman" starring Robert Pattinson will be released. The Joker sequel, like the first film, has received an R rating (18+) for its scenes of violence, profanity, and nudity with sexual overtones.
