According to the report from Tom Warren of the Verge, Microsoft is looking forward to announcing the next Gears of War game at a showdown scheduled for June 9, 2024.

At the event, among other things, the company plans to present the next part of Call of Duty, which is set to release by the end of 2024, and will also announce release dates for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Avowed, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

This isn't the first we've heard about Gears of War recently. Earlier, journalist Jeff Grubb mentioned hearing about an upcoming announcement in the summer of 2024.

Microsoft had previously announced that a major Xbox gaming presentation would take place in June. However, the company did not specify the exact date or discuss potential announcements.

Regarding Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which is also expected to be showcased at the presentation, insiders suggest the game will be released by the end of 2024. In January, we saw the first gameplay trailer.

These plans come at the same time as Microsoft recently lost a very important executive and innovator. Corporate Vice President of Xbox Emerging Technologies division, Karim Choudhry, has left Microsoft after 26 years of service.
