ConcernedApe announced that he would post details about Stardew Valley's 1.6 patch daily until its release on March 19th. This major update will bring new festivals, winter clothing, over 100 new NPC dialogues, and other changes to the game.

The developer has already "spoiled" a few new features:

  • Fruit trees can now be chopped down to obtain saplings, allowing for tree relocation on the farm without extra costs.
  • Harvesting will be equally fast from left to right and right to left.

Daily spoilers are heating up the community's interest in the upcoming patch, giving an idea of the extent of the changes. The 1.6 update promises to be one of the largest in Stardew Valley's history, providing loyal fans with new reasons to return to their favorite game.

Details are still under wraps, but fans speculate that a new location might be added because among the new crafting items, a teleport totem was spotted in the promo.

Stardew Valley is a popular indie farming simulator developed by a single person, Eric Barone (ConcernedApe). For many, the game feels like mint tea on a cool day, making them want to return to this peaceful corner again and again. Since its release in 2016, players have spent hundreds of hours building their dream farm and forming relationships with the townspeople.
