Microsoft is undergoing a series of major changes, one of which is the possibility of releasing titles exclusive to the green console on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. A month ago, in an official podcast, they confirmed 4 projects being ported without naming them. However, The Verge reports that these will be the action title Hi-Fi Rush, the detective adventure Pentiment, the online pirate adventure Sea of Thieves and the cooperative survival experience Grounded.

The choice is based on the potential interest of the audience in the console from Microsoft. Phil Spencer is confident that the Xbox brand remains strong and that people will want to buy their hardware. The company deliberately chose small releases that were launched on PC and their platform more than a year ago.

Moreover, it is beneficial for the green console to increase the audience in service-based experiences like Sea of Thieves and Grounded, which have already reached their peak on other platforms. Now, The Verge reports that the release of Sea of Thieves on PlayStation 5 will help Microsoft evaluate the revenue from other exclusives on Sony consoles, indicating whether gamers should expect more ports.
