Arc System Works, the publisher behind several big fighting games, decided that its one of the biggest games, Guilty Gear -Strive-, needs an anime adaptation, so they went for it. The first poster of the upcoming series appeared on the official website.

The title of this animated series is Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers. There are not many details besides that. We're not sure of which characters will be present there, but the poster features Sol Badguy and Sin Kiske. The studio behind Dual Rulers is Sanzigen, known for works such as BanG Dream!, Arslan Senki, and New Initial D. Norimitsu Kaiho, the story writer for the Guilty Gear series, is also responsible for the screenpla of Dual Rulers. Seiji Mizushima, known for his work on Fullmetal Alchemist, will serve as the producer.

The premiere date for the Guilty Gear -Strive- anime is not yet known. The show's presentation is scheduled during Anime Expo 2024, which will be held from July 4-7.

Guilty Gear -Strive- is the seventh installment in the series, which served as a reimagining of the franchise. The game was released in 2021 on PC and PlayStation 4 and 5, and in 2023 it became available on Xbox One and Series X/S.
