For many professional teams, June is the most important month. The regional qualifiers for The International 2024 will determine ten teams that will come to Copenhagen this fall to play in the Dota 2 World Championship.

The first two regions to host the qualifiers are China and North America. While the latter is far from over because only one spot is on the line, the Chinese qualifier has passed its first big milestone: we know the name of the first country representative.

Team Zero did not count as a favourite in this competition. Yet they are the first team to successfully pass the bloodbath of the regional qualifiers. The fate of the second spot will be determined between Azure Ray, Team Turtle and G2.iG.

That means, that one of the most successful esports clubs in the history of Dota 2, LGD Gaming, will miss the tournament only for the second time overall and for the first time since 2011. Funny fact: LGD was eliminated by Team Turtle, led by the legend of the club, Somnus, and Planet was playing the match in the LGD jersey!

The fate of the final TI 2024 spot from China will be determined tomorrow.
