The big scandal that happened in the League of Legends Vietnam Championship Series has yet to find its resolution. Currently, thirty-two people from all eight participating clubs were suspended as the investigation is still ongoing. However, the show must go on, and today, VCS resumed. Not without problems, though: because of technical troubles, one of the matches was rescheduled:

The four best teams of the group stage continue their run in the double-elimination playoff bracket. Interestingly, Riot Games allowed teams to have unlimited substitutions to replace those affected by the investigation. Three teams (Team Secret, GAM Esports, and Team Whales) lost two members, but Vikings Esports suffered the most as four players were suspects. That led to their co-owner SofM (who played several years in the Chinese LPL) standing in as a jungler.

Despite such severe damage, Vikings Esports managed to win their first match against GAM Esports 2:0 and become one step closer to the spot at the Mid-Season Invitational, which will occur in Chengdu in May. This Thursday, Team Secret and Team Whales enter the playoffs as well. The champion of the VCS Spring Split 2024 will be determined this Sunday.
