The first regional qualifier for The International 2024 is in the books. We know the one and only team from North America that will go to Copenhagen to compete in the Dota 2 World Championship.

The winner of the qualifier was determined in a double-elimination bracket, and it is a wonderful format because it allows us to witness interesting stories. If we look solely at the upper bracket, then we can see that Shopify Rebellion, arguably the main contender, was the strongest team. They went 2-0 in the first two rounds and defeated nouns in the upper bracket final, who struggled but won two matches.

However, on the final day of the competition, nouns blossomed and went 5-0! First, they demolished Apex Genesis, and then Fly and his teammates got revenge by sweeping out former teammate Arteezy and his team. The Canadian player will miss The International for the first time since 2013. Fly continues his streak of 11 TI appearances.
