The modern series of Call of Duty attracts troubles like a magnet. This time, the scandal ignited due to an internal store error. It's worth noting that CoD fans have been unhappy with the company's pricing policy for several years now. Each new installment is expensive, and on top of that, players need to purchase a season pass for a substantial amount.

Players were discontented, and then came the Gassed Up bundle priced at $34! The bundle was released on February 18, and fans immediately noticed the excessively high price. But that's not all. To purchase the bundle, players were required to buy 5000 CoD points, which would cost $39.99!

Note that the hit Steam game Helldivers II costs $40. This is a full-fledged, extensive game, the cost of which is justified. Also, the price of a weapon skin set in CoD is not much less than that of the best game of 2023, Baldur's Gate 3.

Players could not let this slide. An investigation began, and the skin bundle was removed, with refunds being issued to players. The developers cited an internal error as the reason for the high price.
