The girl's name is a reference to the heroine from the poem "Jerusalem Delivered", a valiant warrior of the Saracen army. According to the story, a warrior from the opposing side Tancred falls in love with Clorinde and refuses to fight her. Clorinde's constellation is a rapier, a type of one-handed Sword popular in France, and Fontaine is the game's prototype for that country.
