On April 24, 2024, Klei Entertainment, the studio behind Don't Starve, released their new game — Rotwood — in early access. The title is available in many countries at a discounted price until May 8, and can be purchased with a 10% discount for $9.89. The price will be gradually increased later. The visuals of Don't Starve evoke the works of Tim Burton, but the new project's style has been slightly altered, with more vibrant and saturated colors.

RotwoodImage: steampowered.comRotwood is an action game with roguelike elements, set in a cursed forest. Players will take on the roles of fantasy creatures and battle various monsters. Users can upgrade their equipment, hone their skills, and explore the terrifying world, filled with monsters. The game can be played solo or with friends in cooperative mode. Completing Rotwood will take around 25 hours. Currently, the game has plenty of content: four biomes with unique bosses, four main weapon classes, and other equipment. The arsenal is unlocked as you progress through the game.

The developers are not yet ready to announce a full release date, but the game will definitely not leave early access before the second half of 2025. The full version will feature more bosses, weapons, armor, biomes, and customization options.
