One service for such statistics is the website How Long to Beat, which collects information on the time required for complete playthroughs, shared by the players themselves. According to How Long to Beat users, the average time to fully complete Baldur's Gate 3 is 112 hours.

Steam's statistics include all players, including those who may have abandoned the game. Typically, there are significantly more such users than those who reach the end credits. Even accounting for players who did not finish the game, the average playtime on Steam still exceeds 100 hours. In the replies to Michael Douse's post, many users reported spending several hundred hours in the role-playing game. This is a truly impressive result from a game that is not a session multiplayer.
