After a series of short trailers, Paradox Interactive finally showcased a longer gameplay segment of Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2. The game is a sequel to the cult classic role-playing game from 2004, in which the player assumes the role of a newly-created vampire in Seattle.

A video has been released showcasing all the gameplay and plot fragments that were previously posted online. The accompanying press release includes a statement from Skidmore:

The gameplay and action of Bloodlines 2 are like a kind of dance. By exploring the world, immersing themselves in the atmosphere, and making strategic choices, players influence their relationships with the surrounding characters.

Players can choose their own legend, but the world is dynamic, and characters remember how you treat them. Think carefully and trust no one.

In the 15-minute clip, the game developers showcased exploration of one of the locations, a plot dialogue with Nosferatu, several character abilities, the combat system, and an example of stealthy progression through a location.

The development of Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 began several years ago but was paused due to the publisher's decision to transfer the project to another studio. The release is scheduled for the fall of 2024.
