Over the history of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive there were only few players deserving more to win a Major than Ladislav GuardiaN Kovács. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to fulfill his dream while being only one step short of it. However, now, in the Counter-Strike 2 era, he may be on the path to lift the trophy but in another role.

Former professional Counter-Strike player announced his return to the competitive scene. This time, the Slovak will take on the role of a coach, joining the new team BC.

Who will play under GuardiaN's guidance is currently unknown. In a comment to HLTV.org, Kovács stated that he is forming the roster himself. The Slovakian esports player added that the organization views the CS2 roster as a long-term project, so the team currently has no specific mandatory goals, such as qualifying for the next major.

According to Liquipedia, GuardiaN has been active in the professional Counter-Strike scene since 2006. In the past, he played under the tags of Natus Vincere and FaZe Clan. His last team was Team Sampi, which he left at the end of 2022. Since then, he has only participated in small tournaments and show matches.
