The first big CS2 LAN tournament after PGL Major Copenhagen is in the books, and its final results are unsurprising. The runner-up of the tournament in Denmark, FaZe Clan won IEM Chengdu convincingly.

Don't think the Chinese event was a walk in the park for Karrigan and his team: FaZe Clan had struggled in a group stage where it lost to Astralis, but after that, they slowly but steadily regained their top form.

A close quarter-final against Team Liquid (16:13 on Nuke, 11:13 on Anubis, 13:10 on Mirage) was followed by a successful rematch against Astralis (13:10 on Nuke, 5:13 on Ancient, 13:7 on Inferno) and a dominant grand final against MOUZ (13:10 on Overpass, 13:6 on Nuke)

MOUZ had a decent tournament, as the young team keeps gaining experience on the big scene. FaZe Clan simply outplayed its opponents in clutch rounds, where experience became the key factor.

With this win, FaZe Clan not only got another trophy but also qualified for the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne, where it joined Team Spirit and became only the second-known team out of twenty-four participants. MOUZ will probably qualify there as well because the team will stay high in the world rankings with its current results and level of play.

The next big CS2 LAN tournament is the ESL Pro League Season 19, which starts in Malta on April 23.
