Professional players barely have rest outside of their breaks. Not so long ago, we crowned the new CS2 Major champions, and now another big tournament is in full swing. Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu gathered some of the best teams around the globe, and after the group stage, we have only six teams left.

The greatest surprise so far is Astralis. The Danish squad seemed to play effectively, and their win against FaZe Clan was dominant. If we talk about strong teams that have been eliminated, we have such teams in FURIA and Cloud9. FURIA, despite its status as the Brazilian powerhouse, is on a cold streak, and it looks like some changes in the roster are imminent. Cloud9 keeps playing without the main sniper, and there seems to be no way this philosophy will work.

All the other favourites managed to move on to the playoffs. MOUZ and Astralis will have a free round since they are first in their respective groups. The quarter-finals are looking really intriguing.

The winner of IEM Chengdu will earn $100,000 and qualify for the IEM Cologne, the main CS2 tournament of the summer. So, the stakes are high.
