David Fifield from Crytek shared information about a major update for Hunt: Showdown, which will be released at the end of summer.

On August 15, the action game will be transferred to the CryEngine 5.11 engine. After this, the game will no longer be available on PS4 and Xbox One, but those who have already purchased it will receive versions for current-generation consoles. Players will retain their accounts with all progress and purchased DLCs.

The developers will regularly publish videos answering the most frequently asked questions from the community. The authors will discuss issues such as combating cheaters and other violators, the updated interface, the evolution of the Hiring and Prestige systems, gameplay mechanics, and various improvements.

The team is preparing a series of previews and teasers for a still unnamed event, an additional map, and a biome. These will appear in Hunt: Showdown along with the large patch.

The upcoming update will serve as a kind of relaunch for the action game, emphasized Crytek. The developers stated that they do not intend to rename the game to Hunt 2, as such a name change did not benefit other service titles.
