The State of Play presentation took place on the night of September 14th to 15th. It showcased both Sony exclusives and games from the company's partners. The range varied greatly — from indie games to projects for PS VR2.

Baby Steps

A gameplay trailer for the walking simulator "Baby Steps" was introduced. The release is expected in summer 2024 for PC and PlayStation 5. Players will take on the role of an "unemployed loser" named Nate, who "lived an incredibly dull life", but later decided to learn how to walk and set off on a journey.

Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord

A cooperative action-adventure based on "Ghostbusters" will be released for the PS VR2 headset on October 26, 2023.

Resident Evil 4

A remake of the survival horror game from Capcom will be released on PS VR2 in winter 2023. Additionally, on September 21st, a "Separate Ways" expansion featuring Ada Wong will be released for the game.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

A narrative trailer for the upcoming "Avatar" game. The game will be released on December 7, 2023.

Ghostrunner 2

Trailer for the demo of the cyberpunk action game. The demo will be released on September 15, and the game itself will be released on October 26, 2023.

Controllers and Panels from the Deep Earth Collection

Sony introduced a set of panels and controllers from the Deep Earth Collection in three colors. The sales start date has not yet been announced.

Helldivers 2

A gameplay trailer for the third-person team shooter. The game will be released on February 8, 2024, for PC and PS5.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2

The game's creators from Insomniac Games showed a trailer dedicated to New York, which in the sequel will be almost twice as large. The trailer also showcases new gameplay footage. The game will be released on October 20, 2023, for PS5.

Tales of Arise

A narrative expansion "Beyond the Dawn" for Tales of Arise was announced at the presentation. It will be released on November 9, 2023.

Honkai: Star Rail

The game will be released for PS5 on October 11.


Announcement trailer for the beta version of the "foamy" arena shooter from Square Enix. It will begin on September 29, 2023.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

At the end of the presentation, a trailer for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was shown. It was also announced that its release will be on February 29, 2024. It will be on two discs.
