CD Projekt RED has announced that update 2.1 has become the last major update for Cyberpunk 2077.

Many fans suspected this would be the case, and now there is official confirmation of this theory. Although minor fixes to the game will surely continue to be released in the future.

The reason for this decision is simple — the developers at CDPR are now fully switching to the sequel of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher: Polaris. Half of the CD Projekt RED company team is already working on the new part of The Witcher. There are rumors that the upcoming Witcher game will be well-suited for newcomers and will refresh the series.

Update 2.1 added the long-awaited metro and new activities to Cyberpunk 2077. For example, dates with Judy and Panam have been added, whom players can bring to V's apartment. In addition, users can expect many other innovations and improvements to the original.

Update 2.1 was released simultaneously with the release of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, which includes the main game and the Phantom Liberty expansion. The 2.1 patch is over 40 GB.
