Players reported losing several characters due to serious lags, and some even stated that certain final challenges were nearly impossible to play.

A Diablo 4 player recently expounded on Reddit about ongoing game delay issues. In the post, the user questioned the necessity of an online-only structure and wondered why solo players cannot explore Sanctuary in offline mode.

Respondents pointed out that Diablo 4 is intended to be played as a multiplayer game. Other users noted that group interaction was enforced.

Most players explained that playing with hardcore characters has become painful due to increasing lag issues and stated that they tried all technical solutions to eliminate the problem. However, most users noted that Blizzard is known to have serious lag issues during holidays. The situation is further exacerbated by a new group of players who started playing after Diablo 4's sale on Steam.
