The Mortal Kombat 1 team presented the gameplay trailer of the Homelander, the guest character who will soon join the battle. In this video, the creators of MK 1 showcased Homelander's main moves and his fatality. The trailer also featured the character Ferra, who will be added to the kameo fighters roster in June.

Owners of the Premium edition or the Kombat Pack bundle will get access to Homelander on June 4, a week before the rest of the world. Others will be able to purchase him separately starting June 11. It is also unclear if the Final Kombat, the Mortal Kombat 1 world championship that starts on June 14, will be played on the live patch with Homelander or on a previous version without him.

But the release of the character is not the source of headache only for top players. Unfortunately for the fans, Homelander is not voiced by Antony Starr, who plays the role in the TV series "The Boys." For example, the Peacemaker has both the voice and appearance of John Cena.

Homelander will be the penultimate fighter from the additional character set announced for Mortal Kombat 1 at release. Takeda Takahashi will appear in the game in the summer of 2024.
