After three years since the release of It Takes Two, the studio Hazelight has released a major patch for its cooperative adventure game . The developers published the full list of changes on Steam. And it is interesting to look how it moved towards the core Steam player base.

The shift is obvious as the title is now fully compatible with Steam Deck and no longer requires EA launcher to run. Now, you can simply invite your Steam friends and enjoy the game together. By the way, Steam Family Sharing is now fully supported.

The developers emphasized that an EA account is still required if you want to connect to EA servers. However, for local play through Steam Remote Play, an EA account stopped being a must.

Hazelight launched It Takes Two in March 2021. The game has an average score of 88 out of 100 on Metacritic according to journalists and 8.9 out of 10 based on user reviews. The cooperative adventure won the Game of the Year nomination at The Game Awards 2021.
