The modern gaming industry continues to disappoint PC gamers. Nearly all contemporary releases in 2023 have been frustrating in terms of optimization. Low FPS, crashes, and bugs were encountered by gamers even on top-tier PCs with a GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card.

There were indeed many technically flawed releases in 2023, prompting DSO Gaming journalists to publish a list of the most poorly optimized projects.

The selection turned out to be quite unusual. The journalists highlight the scandalous technical state of Forspoken and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, as well as the appalling quality of the PC version of The Last of Us Part 1. However, after a year and numerous patches, developers managed to resolve key issues and improve optimization to an acceptable level.

As journalists note, these games do not possess outstanding visual qualities, but can load any PC to the extent that it constantly lags.
