The Game Awards 2023 ceremony has officially ended in Los Angeles. The main triumph of TGA 2023 was Baldur’s Gate 3, which many expected. The RPG from Larian Studios received awards in the following categories: 

  • Game of the Year;
  • Best Community Support;
  • Best RPG;
  • Best Multiplayer;
  • Best Acting Performance (Neil Newbon for the role of Astarion);
  • Players' Voice.

However, what probably surprised not only the number of awards for BG3, but also the interesting appearance of Larian Studios director Swen Vincke. It was hard not to notice him because he came to the ceremony in armor, as he promised.

Alan Wake 2 won three awards in the categories "Best Art", "Best Game Direction", and "Best Narrative". The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom won in the "Best Action-Adventure" category. Cyberpunk 2077 received the award in the "Best Game Support" category.

Final Fantasy XVI earned an award for the best soundtrack and music, the HBO series based on The Last of Us was recognized as the best adaptation. The most anticipated game of 2024 was Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
