Developers have released an update for MK1. It introduces cross-play support between PC and consoles.

The update adds Peacemaker to the roster, as well as UMK3 skins for Scorpion, Reptile, and Smoke, and an MK3 skin for Sub-Zero. Furthermore, Janet Cage will become available as a Cameo character in March 2024.

Players can expect AI adjustments and improvements, as well as fixes to the move list. Several visual issues will be addressed. Among other things, an issue has been resolved where cloth physics would activate on frozen enemies during in-game Fatal Blow attacks.

PC players can now face off against players on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 in private matches, as well as in Ranked Kombat League and Kasual Versus.

The update fixes an online issue where FPS would drop when an opponent continuously paused during a match: it eliminates an online rollback issue where character visual effects change when blocking certain brutalities that start with low-health attacks.
