As professional Counter-Strike is still on a break, different teams use this time to regroup and rebuild their rosters. G2 Esports already benched nexa, signed malbsMd, but everyone knew that this is not the only change in the roster.

Today, G2 Esports announced that they are putting their in-game leader, HooXi, on bench. Basically, this means that the CS2 Gigachad will leave the club, and now it is only the matter of transfer fee.

Looks like the IEM Dallas victory with Stewie2K as a stand-in was the final argument towards such a decision. HooXi became a meme in the CS community because of his statistical underperformance. During his tenure with G2, HooXi never got an average tournament rating higher than 0.99. While it is totally OK for the IGL to be in the lower half of the tab, it didn't seem like his leadership was enough to compensate for the lack of firepower.

Now, it looks like NiKo once again will be the IGL for the G2, but we've yet to know who will replace HooXi. There are some rumors about potential joining of Perfecto, but it is too early to draw conclusions.

As of now, we will lack all those memes about HooXi, the legendary Gigachad of G2 CS.
