Biguzera, a professional Counter-Strike 2 player representing PaiN Gaming, was robbed upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro. His team had flown to the city to take part in the Global Esports Tour Rio de Janeiro 2024. The Brazilian player shared this sad news on his personal X (ex-Twitter) account.

While biguzera wasn't unscathed, things could have certainly gone worse. There is no news about the Brazilian missing the games, so we should see him in action pretty soon. The in-game leader of PaiN Gaming recently led his team to 9-11 place at PGL Major Copenhagen, so this Brazilian squad is one of the biggest favourites to claim the title.

The Global Esports Tour Rio de Janeiro 2024 will occur on April 18-20. This event features four Brazilian teams and several teams from outside of the South American region (OG, Monte, Metizport). They will compete at a LAN tournament for a prize pool of $200,000. The champion will earn half of that sum.
