Take-Two's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, hinted at the possibility of a third part of the famous Red Dead Redemption series. The RDR series has sold about 80 million copies, making it one of the most successful in the industry. RDR 2 is among the top ten best-selling games of all time.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in 2018, and almost five years later, Take-Two's CEO has hinted at a possible Red Dead Redemption 3 release.

Speaking at a global conference, Take-Two's Strauss Zelnick confirmed the company would continue to work on its main franchises for many years, as some have the potential to grow successfully for decades. This statement indicates RDR 3 might become a reality.

However, the CEO also emphasized the importance of giving these IPs a break to ensure each new release feels special due to its rarity.

Currently, Rockstar Games is busy with GTA 6, which has reportedly been in development for many years. Considering the growing scale and rising expectations, Red Dead Redemption 3 will also take a lot of time. While the possibility of Red Dead Redemption 3 seems exciting, Take-Two and Rockstar Games are fully focused on GTA 6 for now.

Last month, the original RDR was re-released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
