After G2 Esports benhced HooXi, the team had two choices: either make their superstar NiKo an in-game leader and bring the superstar rifler or to find a new IGL. The former option might seen good, but in the history NiKo wasn't able to become a tier-1 captain. The second option is harder. Of course, there is CadiaN on the transfer market but his buyout fee might have been too big.

G2 Esports came with an interesting but questionable idea. They brought Snax, the Polish veteran who relatively recently switched to an IGL role in GamerLegion.

Snax is experienced, he is a great clutch player, so he has high in-game IQ. However, he hasn't been on a roll for quite some time. We know Snax as the IEM Katowice 2014 winner and the superstar of the Polish squad in Virtus.pro. Can he return to the tier-1 level in Counter-Strike 2? That is not obvious, to say the least.

Considering that we have some big rosters like FaZe Clan, Team Spirit and MOUZ, these changes might not be enough for G2 to come back to the number one spot. Only time will tell if this decision was right.
