CS2 players have awaited a patch that brings significant changes to the game. The update is 1 GB in size and was released overnight on February 16th. The developers have corrected errors, updated some maps, and introduced new console commands. 

Here is a list of changes in the new patch:

  • Some changes have been made to the maps Vertigo, Nuke, Anubis, and Overpass;
  • A hand tremor mode has been introduced. This mode can be disabled with the console command cl_usenewbob false;
  • Finally, ladder interaction animations have been fixed;
  • The kukri knife animation during team intros has also been corrected;
  • The console commands spec_player and spec_goto now work when playing back CSTV and demos;
  • In spectator mode, the commands spec_lock_to_accountid and spec_lock_to_current_player are now available;
  • In the "Deathmatch" mode, Zeus x27 can be purchased in each life, and it will be re-acquired if not in random weapon mode;
  • The start and end of the warm-up period are now logged in the game server's log;

  • A rounding error in the server game statistics log has been fixed;
  • Smoothness of animations at low FPS has been improved;
  • Issues with key binding implementations based on scan codes have been fixed. Bindings now do not depend on regional input settings;
  • An option to track performance has been added to the interface;
  • The console commands cq_netgraph and cq_netgraph_problem_show_auto have been removed. They have been replaced by cl_hud_telemetry_serverrecvmargin_graph_show;
  • A bug connecting to a local server for practice without connecting to Steam has been fixed;
  • Rank animations at the end of a match are now displayed correctly;
  • FPS no longer drops in the sniper scope;
  • The game's performance stability has been improved.

As we can see, the developers are striving to rid players of issues, which is certainly pleasing. However, there are still plenty of problems to be fixed.
