Counter-Strike: Condition Zero received a new patch nearly 20 years after the game's release in 2004. Although it's not the highest-rated game, it still has something to offer fans. This shooter is somewhat of an exception in the series, as Counter-Strike: Condition Zero includes a single-player campaign, retaining the series' famous tactical gameplay.

The sudden patch for Counter-Strike: Condition Zero is related to the 25th anniversary of the Half-Life series of sci-fi shooters, in honor of which classic Valve games received engine improvements. Thanks to this, the game works better with modern PCs and current operating systems. The authors fixed lighting rendering issues, improved the interface, and added several options for servers.

What else has changed in Counter-Strike: Condition Zero:

  • Added a 'Use shaders' checkbox for video settings. Servers can override this setting with sv_allow_shaders;
  • Various Steam network fixes;
  • Various user interface fixes.

Do you like Counter-Strike: Condition Zero? Or do you think this game is already outdated?
