The first of the two splits of the Apex Legends Global Series 2024 has just finished in Los Angeles. Forty teams travelled to Galen Center to compete for a million-dollar prize pool and valuable circuit points that would bring them closer to the final tournament.

The whole tournament format is still the same, as Apex Legends found the working formula. In the playoff rounds prior to the finals, each lobby plays six maps, and depending on the total points, the team gets either promoted to the next round or eliminated.

In the finals, the match point format takes place where teams must first pass a certain threshold for total points earned, and after that, the final ends the same moment the match point team wins the round.

REJECT WINNITY and DarkZero Esports were the favourites to win the tournament as both teams entered the match point zone in round 5. Only after round 7, they were joined by five more squads. However, they couldn't use this chance, as the Korean squad were crowned the champions in the very next round.

DarkZero Esports finished the ALGS Split 1 Finals second, and Fnatic was third. The second split of the ALGS will start on June 1.
