The current state of Counter-Strike 2 is not ideal. That applies to many aspects including competitive map pool. While different players may have different opinions, we can say that the average level of satisfaction is not that high. And one of the most common wishes is to bring back Cache, a popular map during CS:GO era.

Mapmaker Sean "FMPONE" Snelling, who is one of the creators and the person responsible for maintaining this map,  has published new screenshots of the updated Cache for CS 2. This time, he showcased what plant A looks like.

The images reveal that work on the map is still ongoing. The designer noted that he might make changes to the details of the location that have already been completed. Snelling did not provide even an approximate release date for Cache.

FMPONE began working on Cache in December 2023. He has already shared screenshots showcasing the central part of the map.

Cache was part of the professional pool until 2019, after which it was replaced by Vertigo. Snelling also created a remake for CS:GO, but the map did not return to competitive map pool.
